Leadership

Our Founder

Dato' Chew Hui Thong, Founder and Chairman of Jaya Nets

Dato' Chew Hui Thong

Founder and Chairman

“Products that could withstand the toughest environments.”

Dato' Chew Hui Thong is the Founder and Chairman of Jaya Nets Sdn. Bhd., a pioneering Malaysian manufacturer of synthetic fishing and industrial nets, ropes, and related products. Established in 1985 and headquartered in Klang, Selangor, the company began as a modest operation built on Dato' Chew's deep understanding of maritime industries and his vision to deliver products that could withstand the toughest environments.

Over four decades, Dato' Chew has transformed Jaya Nets into one of the region's most trusted names in rope and net manufacturing, supplying clients across Asia, the Middle East, and beyond. Under his leadership, the company has upheld a philosophy of innovation, integrity, and sustainable growth — continually investing in modern technology, expanding production capabilities, and embracing environmentally responsible manufacturing practices.

Today, Dato' Chew continues to guide Jaya Nets' strategic direction, ensuring that the company remains true to its founding principles while adapting to the evolving demands of global industries.

In-House Testing Lab

We test our products in our own lab — breaking load, UV resistance, and abrasion. So you know it holds before it ships.

Third-Party Certification on Request

Some customers need third-party certificates — for example, for mooring ropes or tug boat ropes. We can arrange witness testing and certification through DNV or LRQA on request.
